This spectacular 45 million year old Basilosaurus tooth was recovered in a newly discovered Eocene age site in a coastal area of the Western Sahara.This site is approximatly 100 miles from the Mauritania border on the Moroccan side These teeth are very similar to the Archaeocete teeth found in North America but much rarer and identical to the Teeth found in Egypt in the location known as 'The Valley of the Whales' This specimen has some minor restore work to the tips ,the work is better than museum quality and is common for these teeth. Ultra rare Basilosaurus Jaw section with associated Molar teeth, jaw measures 280mm x 180mm approx. This fossil is beyond rare, could benefit from some prep work which would increase its value.
